We had a case where Office 2013 was used with Office 365, Microsoft mail in the cloud. Office 2013 needed to downgrade to Office 2010 due a problem with a plugin that was not Word 2013 compatible. I changed all AppSense Personalization settings for Office 2010. After logging on again, users needed to fill in their credentials again. The credentials weren’t saved when logging on again. Within the session everything worked fine. This is not a preferred situation.
With a tool, I’ve captured the location for the credentials. This was the same as Internet Explorer uses for the form passwords. I had some problem with those a few months ago and AppSense Support send me a solution for this.
The folder %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Protect needs to be copied at logon and logoff.
I’ve used the mirror folder action to solve this. Make the following logon action to copy the protect folder locally from homedrive. I’ve removed the server name due security settings:
Make a logoff action to mirror the folder back to the homedrive.
