- HP Thin client T610
- Citrix XenApp 6.5
- Webinterface 5.4
- McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 on Thin Client.
When opening the Citrix webinterface there is no logonscreen available, only a white background with no error massage. After troubleshooting the cause was found in the scriptscan from the McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8.
Disabling the service or adding an website exclusion to the scriptscan did not solve the problem. Only unregistering the DLL with “regsvr32.exe /u SCRIPTSN.dl” solved the problem.
When using the FQDN of the Citrix Webinterface instead of the DNS alias, you could see that IE hangs on the silentdetetection.aspx and is not redirecting you to the logon.aspx page. There is also the problem, the mcafee scriptscan block a redirect script. On all websites that use redirect scripts, like www.hp.com.
The problem occurred random, but stayed till the DLL was unregistered. After registering it again the problem did not reoccur.
For the solution, see Mcagee KB711660 and install patch 3 for the McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8.
